Bring ALL your medications to your health care visits
Patients know if their medications work for them. We need to know what medications help you best.
A provider may prescribe exercise and medications, and patients may supplement this plan with a tundra medicine. We want our patients to be involved with their health care decisions and provide us with the information about medication use in their homes.
Many patients also receive health care at more than one organization and may be taking additional medications. We need to know your overall medication use. The patient is the best person to keep this information together.
Help us get the right medication list for your Health Care Visit by providing the following:
- NAMES of all medications and HOW you take them. We want to know how you actually use the medicines, especially if different from the original directions on the label.
- Any over-the-counter medications that you use at home, like Tylenol, Aspirin, Motrin, Vitamins, antacids and skin creams.
- Any Herbal/Tundra medicines that you use at home.
- Keep a list of your medications with you, including how you take them. It is best if you bring ALL of your medicine containers in for us to view. Also include: Eye and Ear drops, inhalers and skin creams.
Also, let us know of any vaccinations received recently and any allergies you have. All of this information that you provide helps us to better serve you and helps you to make better health care decisions.
