"Campers" visit with Dalarie Peters in the Dental Dept.
Students participating in the KuC Educational Talent Search Camp had an opportunity to get an insight into possible future careers at YKHC. A total of 28 students toured various departments in the hospital on June 22 and 29.
Department personnel shared career information with students such as different types of jobs within the department, job duties of each, salary, training and/or education needed. Many also stressed the importance of staying in school, doing well in subject areas and good citizenship. Some students were inspired and identified interest areas and possibly pursuing careers in those fields.
The YK Area Health Education Center would like to say, "Quyana cakneq!" to the volunteers and department personnel who participated in this special event for the KuC Talent Search students.
