AHEC visits Murkowski in DC
On April 25 representatives of the Alaska Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Program participated in the National AHEC Conference in Washington D.C.
They also visited Senator Lisa Murkowski’s office to advocate for Title VII funding which includes the National AHEC Organization.
The National AHEC Organization promotes opportunities for students to explore health careers, supports clinical rotations students and continuing education for professional health providers through states that have a program office and satellite centers. The YK area center works through YKHC with other regional agencies.
Senator Murkowski was presented a plaque recognizing her support of the national AHEC organization, program offices and centers.
