April Health Aides of the Month: Minnie John and Helen Macar of Crooked Creek.
April Health Aides of the Month: Minnie John and Helen Macar of Crooked Creek
by Theresa Bean, YKHC Public Relations
This month CHAP would like to recognize not one but two health aides as Health Aide of the Month. Helen Macar and Minnie John, both of Crooked Creek.
There was a report of an accident involving a four wheeler. Minnie was the first to respond followed by Helen, who was on call at the time. Helen and Minnie assessed the patients and took great precautions due to the nature of the injuries. Minnie and Helen selflessly stayed with the patients through the night due to weather conditions in the area that prevented medevacs from arriving until well into the next day.
"Helen Macar and Minnie John's immediate response to this emergency call proves that they are committed, dedicated, hard working and very effective in providing the highest quality care to their patients," said Supervisor Instructor Balassa Larson. "Two people were given another chance in life."
Both YKHC and the people in the community of Crooked Creek are fortunate to have such caring, responsible Health Aides who go above and beyond, and who deserve to be recognized and commended for a job well done. Thank you, ladies, and keep up the wonderful work.
