YKHC pays better

YKHC compensation beats other health care employers in the state and nation

Based on a recent comprehensive survey, YKHC pays better than the rest for most positions in the company.

The YKHC Human Resources Department completed a comprehensive comparative survey of salaries for healthcare positions in May. Data was collected from over a dozen various national, state and regional sources and compared to a wide variety of positions offered at YKHC.

Based on the results of the survey, it is clear that YKHC has established itself as the wage leader in the Alaska Healthcare arena.

Healthcare employers in the State of Alaska pay overall approximately eight percent higher than similar providers in the Lower 48 states. YKHC pays on average 4-5 percent higher than other healthcare providers in the State and 12-14 percent higher than in the Lower 48. In addition, YKHC offers a comprehesive employee benefit program superior to what is available from many other healthcare providers.

Based on the survey results, we are looking into ways to maintain and further promote our overall market position as a leader while at the same time reviewing areas where we feel we can be even more competitive moving forward.
