Phyllis Andrews, Kotlik- Health Aide of the Month for October, 2009

The CHAP program would like to recognize Phyllis Andrews from Kotlik as the October, 2009, Health Aide of the month.

Phyllis has been a Health Aide in Kotlik for seven years, during which time she has proven to be an outstanding worker and an asset to the commuity.

She has often worked alone, late nights, and weekends. She has a spirit of compassion for her patients and truly cares about the well being of the people in Kotlik. Phyllis is committed to preventative care and often takes the initiative to get kids vaccinated and well child exams completed.

Recently, she responded to a drowning in the community. Although she couldn't save the patient, she gave the best possible care she could. She deserves recognition for her years of excellent care and her future years of care.

"She is one of the best and brightest for the CHAP program," said Supervisor Instructor Lucy Martin. "Everyone in CHAP has nothing but great things to say about her. She is a pleasure to work with."

Phyllis is a hard worker and is dedicated to her community of Kotlik. She serves as a role model by delivering the highest quality of care to the people of her community. Congratulations and thank you, Phyllis, for a job well done.
