Bear with us while we make a few changes-—
Construction Period:
July 27 – Sept. 13*
Current Situation:
- Damaged vinyl
- Asbestos in the adhesive
- Unable to clean & wax
- It will get worse
The Pediatric and Adult Inpatient units will be undergoing remodeling this summer. This will cause some disruption—patients will have to be moved during the 9-week construction period. But it will be worth it. Here’s what we’re doing:
- Floor abatement
- Paint
- New Floor & corner guards
- New ceiling tiles
- New lighting
- Replace nurse station
- Additional doors to separate pediatric suite
- Replace wall bumpers
- Install handrails
What happens during the remodeling phases:
PHASE I: Peds Inpatient
- Move patients to adult wing
- Move Biomed and IT equipment and supplies to storage
PHASE II: Adult Inpatient
- Move patients to adult wing
- Move Biomed and IT equipment and supplies to storage
Peds and Adult Inpatient will be combined during the construction. Some patients may be referred to ANMC.
Funding has been obtained through IHS & the Maintenance & Improvement Resource Allocation Committee (MIRAC). Funds will also be used from the Hospital Facilities budget to make additional improvements to the Adult and Pediatric Inpatient departments.
*Completion date subject to unforeseen delays.
