October 2012 Health Aide of the Month: Alexandra Tikiun of Atmautluak

Alexandra Tikiun, CHA III, in Atmautluak has been nominated and chosen Health Aide of the Month for October.

Alexandra Tikiun has been on-call for several weeks at a time and she has been to work on time every day. She goes to work with a positiv

e attitude and still completes patient visits even after work hours.

Well Child & Immunization Coordinator Kathy Stanton says, “Alexandra is trained to do Well Child exams and has been able to meet or exceed her goal each month. She is good at keeping us informed if she thinks she might not meet her goal. In the past, when she has called me I would tell her to do what she could and we will see at the end of the month. It seems that every time I would tell her that she would meet or exceed her goal.

“Alexandra truly cares about her community and understands the importance of completing Immunizations and Well Child exams.”

Her co-workers report that she comes to work ready to see patients that are already scheduled during the day in addition to the standby patients that are waiting to be seen.

Since she’s the only Health Aide in Atmautluak that can take patient visits, she has been teaching her co-worker, a pre-session trainee, by demonstrating her hard work.

YKHC and the community of Atmautluak are fortunate to have a Health Aide like Alexandra for the caring, dependable, reliable and professional work-ethic she provides every day.Rich Text AreaToolbarBold (Ctrl + B)Italic (Ctrl + I)Strikethrough (Alt + Shift + D)Unordered list (Alt + Shift + U)Ordered list (Alt + Shift + O)Blockquote (Alt + Shift + Q)Align Left (Alt + Shift + L)Align Center (Alt + Shift + C)Align Right (Alt + Shift + R)Insert/edit link (Alt + Shift + A)Unlink (Alt + Shift + S)Insert More Tag (Alt + Shift + T)Toggle spellchecker (Alt + Shift + N)▼
