Parents: Protect Yourself and Children from Whooping Cough

Pointers-for-Parents-1Whooping cough (pertussis) is a contagious disease that causes long periods of coughing. While this disease affects everyone, it is a severe health risk for babies and and can cause them to stop breathing. Some children can even die from it.

Here are some ways to protect yourself and your family:

  • Make sure your children are up to date on immunizations.
  • Get a Tdap Vaccination
  • Cover and wash your hands frequently
