Nursing

At YKHC, our team of nursing professionals enjoys a variety of challenges you won't find in everyday health care situations. Working in a supportive environment, you will team with physicians to best decide your patients' care. While the majority of our nursing staff comes trained in general nursing, necessity sometimes requires that they gain expertise in many specialty situations. The work is rewarding. Professional

Our hospital in Bethel is a general acute care medical facility, well equipped and broadly staffed with professionals in many specialty areas. Our wide array of services makes it easy for professionals to find their career niche at YKHC.

Inpatient facilities include a 20-bed combined medical-surgical-pediatrics unit, and a seven-bed obstetric unit. In addition to a busy outpatient clinic and a full-service emergency room, the hospital has a pharmacy, a lab, and diagnostic imaging capability. Our outpatient services include dental, x-ray, audiology, physical therapy, mental health, social health, eye clinics and specialty clinics.

The nature of the work in the delta requires that our providers use the full range of their skills. Our staff consists of four pediatricians and 16 doctors doing family practice, as well as a variety of mid-level practitioners--general PAs, family nurse practitioners, and a certified nurse anesthetist. Simply put, the secret to our success is teamwork. Each talent shared, each skill added to the mix. You're invited to bring your experience and passion to the team.
