YKHC Pediatric Clinic
The Pediatric Clinic at the Hospital primarily serves patients ages 0 -18, with exceptions made for certain chronic conditions.
Pediatricians and Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners staff the Clinic. Children with chronic or complicated health problems, or those referred by a Family Physician or mid-level provider, are given priority in scheduling, but any child may be seen by a pediatrician with or without a referral.
The services provided at the Pediatric clinic include, but are not limited to, management of chronic illnesses such as asthma, well child care, school physicals, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) work-ups, as well as acute care services by appointment.
The Pediatric Clinic also staffs and coordinates Pediatric Sub-specialist clinics including Pediatric Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonology, Genetics, and Psychiatry in Bethel and provides coordination and case management for children referred to Anchorage for other Pediatric specialty care.
