Native Doctor joins medical staff
We would like to welcome Lynnea Lawrence as a permanent member of the medical staff.

My name is Lynnae Lawrence. I am a member of the Hopi and Assiniboine Tribes from Arizona and Montana. My mother is Hopi, which makes me a member of the Sun Clan. We are co-clans with the Eagle Clan. I have three daughters. My two older daughters are attending the University of Minnesota.

I attended the University of Arizona College of Medicine. I completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse Wisconsin.

Prior to coming to Bethel, I spent two years at the Indian Health Board of Minneapolis. Aside from the practice of Medicine, I am interested in the legal aspects of health care delivery and research.

I am dedicated to helping our native people address their health care needs and I look forward to working with you individually and as a community. My hobbies include sewing, beading and playing or watching basketball. I'm very excited to be a part of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation and eager to learn more about the beautiful Yupik culture.
