All clinical positional are now filled in Village Services with four Village-based clinicians and four serving village sub-regions from Bethel.
We can now offer a full array of mental health and chemical dependency counseling services in each sub-region, including assessment, referral, treatment planning, case management and consultation. Village clinicians also assist in creating "Wraparound" teams to help children with special mental health needs.
Licensed clinicians also provide guidance and supervision to Village Wellness Counselors and Family Advocates. Networking within their communities, clinicians insure that services for children and adults combine the best of western practices with traditional ways of healing unique to the YK Delta.
Village-based clinicians are located in St. Mary's, Emmonak, Hooper Bay and Aniak. Bethel-based clinicians travel to coastal villages, tundra villages and up-river villages on a regular basis.
