Cassandra Mapel and Mary Hoffman, Subregional Clinic Coders.
Mary Hoffman and Cassandra Mapel, both of Aniak, recently completed and passed the Comprehensive Coding for Credentialling Course along with the Certification Exam.
This course was conducted by the Brown Consulting Associates and specialized in medical coding pertaining to Community Health Centers. Cassandra and Mary both dedicated a lot of time and effort into the class and assignments required.
In January, 2004, Cassandra passed the American Academy of Professional Coders exam also. Mary Hoffman had passed this exam in August in 1999.
These two coders are responsible for coding and billing all the medical visits from Aniak, St. Mary's, Emmonak, Toksook Bay, Marshall, Nunam Iqua, Anvik, Grayling, Shageluk, Holy Cross, Chuathbaluk, Crooked Creek, Sleetmute, Stony River and Red Devil.
