YKHC’s entire network, including the phone system, will be shut down on Saturday, June 7 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Our workforce will be operating on “down time” procedures while our Technology Dept. is implementing long overdue upgrades to preserve the integrity and security of our data center.
The RED PHONES and fax machines will remain operational in critical areas (in analog mode only) that are essential to patient care and customer needs.
The switchboard will be able to answer the 1-800-478-3321 and main 543-6000 lines throughout the outage period.
YKHC will also be taking this opportunity to conduct a “mock disaster and emergency drill” exercise during these upgrades.
An emergency operation and command center is in place utilizing GCI cell phones with key village clinic, YKDRH, and personnel involved in this event and outage period.
This will also keep the phone lines open for the general public so our switchboard and village/hospital staff can be responsive to any emergencies that might occur during the downtime.
