Prescription medication insurance is often different than your medical insurance. We bill your insurance company for payment of medications so we can continue to provide high quality pharmacy services, as well as other health care services.
YKHC depends on more than the federal Indian Health Service (IHS) for funding. If you are covered by any pharmacy insurance policies and provide your insurance information to the YKHC Pharmacy, you help contribute additional funding for Native health services that benefit all members of the Native community – at no cost to you!
Pharmacy insurance can only be updated at the Pharmacy because billing for hospital services and clinics is a separate billing program.
All money collected is used to fund clinics and programs and to buy medical equipment, medicines, and the supplies needed to provide services.

Ask to be transferred to the pharmacy and ask for the Pharmacy Account Representative.
Please have your insurance information available. You may be asked for:
- Name of insurance carrier
- Your name on the insurance card
- ID number
- Group number
- Date of birth on your insurance
- Names and dates of birth of family members on your insurance
