The collaborative planning effort that began in 2013 between the Chevak Traditional Council, the Denali Commission and Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) has resulted in a new health clinic that opens today during a special ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Thanks to more than $600,000 grant made available through HUD/Indian Community Development Block grant and additional funds from the Denali Commission, Chevak will be able to provide health care services at a new clinic.
Congratulations to the Bethel and Subregional Clinic Laboratories! The College of American Pathologists recently surveyed each of YKHC’s lab sites and each site passed with flying colors.
YKHC Safety and Facilites Maintenence employees got together earlier this week to test assemble the new Weatherhaven Village Clinic Alternative Care Site.
