January 22, 2013 - 1 minute read

We would like to acknowledge the following tribes for passing their own smoke free / tobacco free workplaces resolution here in the YK Delta. Thanks for your help to set in motion real, meaningful change for our next generations to grow up free from the harmful effects of tobacco.

  •      Nunakauyak Traditional Council
  •      Tuntutuliak Traditional Council
  •      Village of Kotlik
  •      Newtok Traditional Council

Great work! The passage of each resolution is a powerful statement that stands as a concrete measure to protect the health and welfare of tribal members, employees, and children from the harmful effects of second hand smoke exposure.

Want to add your name to the list? YKHC is hopeful your tribal council will consider bringing a resolution forward for passage in your community. We would be happy to provide a template resolution to you in an electronic Word document so that your tribe can adapt it to fit the needs of your community.

Our program is dedicated to providing any information at your request. Please don’t hesitate to contact YKHC Tobacco Prevention & Research at 907-543-6146 for any needs you may have.
