Congratulations to the Diagnostic Imaging Department, Mammographers and Mammography program for passing their annual FDA/MQSA inspection in March of this year. The Mammography Program has also received its triennial certification from the American College of Radiology. Without this important certification we would not be able to provide a mammography program. Thank you to Margo Firestack, our Lead Mammographer, and Rena Stanfill, our Staff Mammographer, for their service to YKHC and the women of the YK Delta.

If you are a woman 45 years or older, do you know when your last screening mammogram was? If it has been a while, more than two years, it’s time to get your check up!

Diagnostic Imaging can see you for your screening mammogram as a scheduled patient. Just call Women’s Health at 543-6296 and ask for a mammogram appointment. Or, Diagnostic Imaging can see you for your mammogram as a walk-in patient. Register at registration as a “radiology only” patient and come tell us you want a screening mammogram.

If you are unsure of when your last screening mammogram was feel free to give us a call. We will gladly assist you. If you have a loved one who is due for her mammogram, encourage her to have their screening mammogram.

Get checked and feel great checking it off your health to-do list!
