Look for a mammography and breast cancer information table in the lobby of the YK Hospital this month. YKHC has hired another mammographer, Renee Stanfill. You can schedule an appointment or ask questions about breast cancer and mammography by calling 907-543-6998. Walk-in appointments are also available.

  • Mammograms are the best breast cancer screening tool. They find cancer up to three years before it can be felt.
  • Regular mammography screening can reduce breast cancer mortality by 20-25%.
  • YKHC recommends a mammogram at least every 2 years for women between the ages of 45 and 69.
