Behavioral Health
Offering interventions for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, services also include screenings, assessments, case management and therapy available in person or through video teleconferencing. Individual, group, and family therapy is provided and outpatient therapy is also available for children and adults of all ages. In all programs, priority is given to children who are in custody of the State of Alaska, pregnant women, severely emotionally disturbed children and adults, IV drug users and persons diagnosed with HIV/AIDs.

Our team of Clinicians, Case Managers and Coordinators offer around-the-clock care for people in emotional and behavioral crisis. We work with Health Aides, Law Enforcement and Family Members who are supporting a person severely struggling in their community. We are available for people who are in crisis, as well as their family members and those who are helping. We offer training in QPR — Question, Persuade, Refer — steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.

Residential Services: Referrals 907-543-6101
Ayagnirvik Healing Center. We offer level III.5 Residential Treatment for individuals suffering from substance use disorders. This is a eight-week intensive program. Residents are provided comprehensive treatment using Matrix Model curriculum, trauma informed care, introduction to 12 steps, group and individual treatment and co-occurring treatment.
Here we also offer an opioid treatment program using medication-assisted therapy. Working with our medical team, customers are placed in appropriate treatment levels and progress through residential, intensive outpatient, outpatient and continuing care.
Therapeutic Court. Our 18-month program is designed for individuals accused of alcohol-related crimes. This intensive program involves the court system, defense and prosecuting attorneys, and a clinical team. Referrals are received through the legal system.
Group Homes: Bautista House, Malone Home, Morgan House. We offer three long-term group homes for those needing significant long-term support. Residents receive clinical and rehabilitation services needed to have a more meaningful life.
Sobering Center. This program offers intoxicated individuals, who are temporarily unable to care for themselves, a safe place to “sleep it off.” Upon waking, they are offered Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Services (SBIRT) to address issues with alcohol use and offer some strategies for harm reduction.
McCann Treatment Center A 14-bed facility, this program offers treatment for teenage and pre-teen youth with behavioral and emotional problems. This 12-18 month treatment program offers comprehensive clinical services, rehabilitation services, a year-round school, and a subsistence education program. We accept youth from all over the state.

We offer Calricaraq, traditional counseling services, in Bethel and communities throughout the YK Delta. Based in our outpatient services, this program provides group and individual counseling. Calricaraq staff provide Qaruyun response for communities where a crisis has occurred. Three-day Calricaraq gatherings are provided in communities whose tribe requests them. Staff also provide these activities for schools who request it.
Family Infant Toddler Program (FIT): 907-543-3690
The FIT Program serves families, with children from birth to three years old, with developmental delays. At no cost to families, our screen and evaluation process determines program eligibility. FIT also helps facilitate transition into early Head Start programs with local school districts. This voluntary program can be opted out of at any time.
