YKHC Suspending Elective Dental and Optometry Procedures

YKHC is closely monitoring the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. To protect our employees and customers from COVID-19, YKHC is suspending all elective dental and optometry procedures. This is a recommendation for dental and optemtry practices from the CDC.

This suspension will be in place for three weeks and reassessed as more information is available.

We will continue to see patients with emergent issues, including abscesses and severe pain. In villages, patients needing emergent dental or optometry care should call their village clinics. In Bethel, patients needing emergent dental care should call YKHC Dental at 543-6229. Bethel patients needing emergent optometry care should call YKHC Optometry at 543-6336.

This suspension of elective dental and optometry procedures does not affect our primary care services. Patients can still be seen for a variety of services at our village clinics, sub-regional clinics and our primary care facility in Bethel.

YKHC is providing regular updates on COVID-19 on our website, www.ykhc.org/covid-19
