YK Elders Home
YKHC’s long-term care facility, the YK Elders Home, opened in October 2013, providing 24-hour nursing care. YK Elders Home can accommodate up to 18 residents.
The Elders Home developed the following Vision, Mission, and Guiding Values/Principles which complement that of the Corporation, while addressing the unique needs of the residents:
- Mission – Commitment to holistic care for Elders while honoring culture, community, and valuing traditions
- Vision – We strive to become a home of the community; where the traditions, values, and culture of the region meet with medicine to provide the greatest possible care our Elders can receive
- Guiding Values/Principles – Service, Respect, Compassion, & Trust
