On June 18, YKHC reports twenty-six new cases of COVID-19 in the YK Delta.

On June 19, YKHC reports one in-region hospitalization and six new cases of COVID-19 in the YK Delta.

One In-Region Hospitalization
YKHC reports that one COVID-19 positive individual was admitted into the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Regional Hospital. This is the 157th individual hospitalized in-region with COVID-19.

On June 20, YKHC reports one in-region hospitalization and twelve new cases of COVID-19 in the YK Delta.

One In-Region Hospitalization
YKHC reports that one COVID-19 positive individual was admitted into the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Regional Hospital. This is the 158th individual hospitalized in-region with COVID-19.

On June 21, YKHC reports ten new cases of COVID-19 in the YK Delta.

COVID-19 Updates and Community Information

COVID-19 testing hours: 

In Bethel, COVID-19 testing is available at the testing site on the first floor of the hospital. Binax tests are offered 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. PCR tests are available in the same location by request only during the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Please enter through the main entrance of the hospital.  No appointment needed.

In villages, contact your local clinic.

Vaccinations: YKHC strongly encourages all people 5 years and older to get vaccinated against COVID-19. 

Booster shots:  Anyone ages 5 or older who is five months past their second shot of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine is eligible for a booster. Everyone ages 18 or older who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine more than two months ago is also eligible. Second boosters are encouraged for eligible individuals 50 and older and people 12 and older with certain health conditions. To learn more, click here.

Case statements are published the next business day after cases are identified (e.g. Monday cases are published Tuesday. Friday and weekend cases are published Monday. Cases identified over a holiday are reported the next business day.) Whenever possible, YKHC will notify patients and call the affected communities the day cases are identified
