Earlier today, YKHC received word that Ravn Air is suspending much of their village flight service across the state. YKHC relies on carriers like Ravn so our customers are able to travel to receive medically necessary care and our staff can offer health services in local clinics. Ravn also delivers mail to many YK Delta communities, which is the primary method of distributing medication to our patients.
Governor Michael Dunleavy said in a press release today that his office is working on a solution for the gap in critical air service Ravn’s suspension creates. YKHC is awaiting the plan from the Governor’s office and doing all we can to ensure our customers and staff are not without access to needed transportation services.
