Based on new guidance from the CDC, YKHC has updated recommendations on lifting COVID-19-related restrictions to include special considerations for people who are fully vaccinated. People are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine series or after one dose of a single-dose vaccine.
The new guidance suggests fully vaccinated people may visit indoors in groups of ten people or less without masks and physical distancing. Fully vaccinated people may gather indoors with unvaccinated people from a single household if the unvaccinated individuals are at low risk for severe COVID-19. Gatherings larger than ten people should be avoided.
Mask wearing and social distancing are still strongly recommended for everyone in public and work spaces.
This guidance will be updated and expanded based on the level of community spread of COVID-19, the proportion of the population that is fully vaccinated, and the rapidly evolving science on COVID-19 vaccines.
