INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup instant nonfat dry milk
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

PREPARATION

  1. Chill large mixing bowl and whisk/beaters in refrigerator or freezer for at least 30 minutes prior to mixing ingredients.
  2. Mix the dry milk with the water.
  3. Beat on high for about 5 minutes until soft peaks begin to form.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and beat on high for another 7 minutes.
  5. Add sugar and beat on high for another minute.

NOTES

  • This recipe can be made with a mixer. It can also be made using a whisk. If using a whisk, each step may take longer.
  • It may be helpful to chill the whipped topping briefly between steps.
  • This whipped topping will hold together for about 30 minutes so it is a good idea to make it as close to serving time as possible.
